Porto Salon opened its doors in West Hollywood in 1999, founded by husband and wife John and Janice with a simple idea: create a salon where every client feels genuinely cared for. In an industry known for quick turnovers and high pressure, John and Janice wanted something different — a place that combined real skill with a relaxed, personal atmosphere.
From the beginning, they built the salon around long-term relationships. Many of our clients have been coming to Porto Salon for over a decade, and some for the entire 25-plus years we've been open. That kind of loyalty doesn't happen by accident. It comes from listening carefully, communicating honestly, and consistently delivering results that hold up in real life — not just under salon lighting.
We offer a full range of services — hair cuts, color, and treatments; manicures and pedicures; waxing; skincare; and makeup for both everyday wear and special occasions. Our team is carefully selected, continuously trained, and genuinely passionate about what they do. John still takes clients, Janice handles the skin and makeup services personally, and together they keep a close eye on every detail of the experience.
